I loved this book...You Have to Read American Dreams First To really get the story line, but you will love it! I like how she left off for Sorrel to have her story, because She needs to come to terms with the guilt of her Father's Death & I really like the storyline her with the "Civil War." Janet is good at Placing Fact with Fiction Which is amazing. American Destiny was truly a great book. The story held me in suspense the whole time. I did not want the The Blade to get killed. I guess we always want the Heroes to live. I would recommend the book to any one who likes romance and history about the lives of Indians.
As usual Janet Dailey takes you into another time and place. She involves you with the family of the characters. Well written and a enjoyable read.
